This invoice should carry
- Invoice number, issue date and due date — not just 'due on receipt'
- Service call or trip fee, shown even when it is credited against the repair
- Labour: hours on site, rate, and after-hours or weekend multiplier applied separately
- Parts and fixtures by item, with the markup already in the unit price
- Deposit or pre-authorisation already taken, subtracted before the balance
- Balance due, payment methods accepted, and the late fee that starts after the due date
- Warranty on the work: what is covered, for how long, and what voids it
- Licence number and, where required, the permit number for the work
