This invoice should carry
- Invoice number, issue date, due date and the job or permit reference
- Licence number — many customers and every lender will look for it
- Labour by electrician and apprentice hours at their separate rates
- Materials by item: wire by gauge and footage, devices, breakers, panel
- Permit fee and inspection fee as pass-through lines, marked as such
- Change orders listed individually with the date each was authorised
- Retainage or final payment withheld pending inspection sign-off, stated explicitly
- Balance due, accepted payment methods and late terms
